ProAction Emergency Services Institute is proud to announce a $30,000 grant from the El Paso Electric Charitable Foundation to support Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training scholarships. This generous contribution directly fuels our mission: preparing the next generation of skilled first responders who will serve our community in times of crisis.
“EMTs are on the front lines of public health and safety,” says Henry Brutus, Executive Director of ProAction Emergency Services Institute. “They are the first hands on scene when a person is injured or in medical distress. Thanks to the El Paso Electric Charitable Foundation’s support, we can train more EMTs and provide scholarships to students who are dedicated to this life-saving work but may not have the financial means to pursue certification.”
The grant will be used to:
Provide full or partial scholarships for new EMT students
Enhance simulation lab training and field ride-alongs
Expand access to advanced life-saving equipment
Each year, ProAction Emergency Services Institute trains hundreds of first responders through its EMT, CPR/First Aid, and Stop the Bleed programs. Many of these graduates go on to serve in ambulance services, hospitals, fire departments, and special event medical teams throughout the El Paso region.
The El Paso Electric Charitable Foundation’s investment ensures that these students can access high-quality, affordable EMT education — helping build a stronger, more resilient emergency response system for our community.
